Jaime was bork in Brooklyn and came to Staten Island as a kid. Growing up, they listened to a lot of the music of their two brothers; both of whom are 13 and ten years older than Jaime. With such an age gap, Jaime was schooled in a ton of 90s Rock from their brother Liam, and a lot of 90s/00s Rap and Pop from their brother Bryan.
--
Jaime took to journaling, writing poetry and songs at a very early age. Jaime's father disappeared soon after their birth and the struggle of being in a family with a single mother raising three children had its impact on Jaime growing up.
--
As a kid, Jaime was very much what people whould call a "Tomboy", they preferred male friends, and played little league baseball until their teen years when "girls weren't allowed to play baseball anymore". They tried softball, but it wasn't the same. With the added free time, Jaime asked their mother for a drum kit. They received a Guitar.
--
Regardless of it not being their preferred choice of instrument, Jaime got into it! They would play through entire Green Day records, learning every chord; it was the beginning of what would become the amazing rhythm guitar skill of Jaime Rails.
--
Jaime went to the College of Staten Island and majored in Music. They studied Classical Guitar with Mr. Ed Brown and proceeded to go to Columbia Teacher's College for their Masters.
Born in Manhattan and raised in Staten Island, Alan-Arthur never thought he'd ever be in any kind of band. His father being a professional Tuba player and later Conductor made him feel like a suit was going to be more his speed. Similiar to his mother who worked a 9-5 job at The Salvation Army while he was growing up.
--
Alan grew up with a lot of Rap music in his life. Never having a white friend of any kind until college gave him experiences a lot of people don't understand such as being singled out as the only person who "looks different" and other similar experiences. At best, he thought he maybe would become a DJ, but he wanted to be like DJ Jazzy Jeff, or Mix Master Mike, and during high school the EDM DJ was becoming popular. But even with these ideas floating in Alan's head, the musical genes of his father were beginning to take hold.
